Thanthai Periyar says that the word ‘Jaadhi,’ a word from the north of India, does not have an equivalent Tamil word, as Tamil Nadu was never the seat of casteism. Ovvaiyaar, chastises that there are only two castes – the superiors or the ones who are the givers and the inferiors, or the ones who do not give away. Tamil Nadu does not believe in the superiority or inferiority of an individual, by way of one’s birth.
