1. Don’t give your original information (like birthday, fathers name etc) while registering for any account. If you have given your original information, change it soon. That is a red carpet welcome for the hackers to hack your account.
2. Don’t give any of your account passwords to anyone. If you have given the password of yahoo mail to your friend, there are possibilities for the friend to hack your gmail too.
3. Avoid doing very secured transaction or conversation in internet from the browsing center.
4. If in an unavoidable condition, if you have to work in browsing center, before working, check whether any camera is fixed on the top of your cabin to record your keyboard activities.
5. Check whether any keylogger software is running in background.
(A Keylogger is a software that can be downloaded free. The software after installed in a system, will run in background. Most of us won’t check the background software running in a system before working. The software will record all your keyboard activities and will store it in a notepad while you are working. It will record as in which website, in which field, what are the characters you typed. For example, it will record as, in www.gmail.com, you entered xxxxxxx in username field and yyyyy in password field. Anyone can see the recorded data and can use it any time. we won’t be knowing that they are also using and monitoring our account.)
6. Check whether any device is connected between the keyboard and the cpu.
There are possibility of connecting an recording device between the keyboard and cpu to record the keyboard strokes.
